Designing Cat Costumes

Crafting the perfect outfit is key to making our cat characters both believable and entertaining. Each costume must reflect the character’s role while allowing for a bit of feline personality.

1. Role-Based Design

We match each outfit to a specific profession: firefighter, chef, barista, lifeguard, and more. The costume elements are selected to be instantly recognizable, yet cute and cat-friendly.

Example:

Firefighter Cat wears a small helmet and a red safety vest, without shoes or gloves to keep the paws visible.

2. Simplicity & Readability

Since our images are small and often viewed quickly (e.g., in shorts or thumbnails), costumes must be simple and easy to read. We avoid clutter and focus on one or two iconic accessories per character.

3. Balancing Realism and Style

We aim for a semi-realistic style. The costumes should feel natural on the cat’s body, with correct lighting and shadowing, while still maintaining a bit of fun or whimsy.

4. Consistency Across Scenes

Each costume must remain visually consistent across all scenes in a video. That means keeping the same colors, accessories, and placement—even when the pose or background changes.
