Writing Animation Prompts

One of the most important steps in creating AI-generated videos is writing the right animation prompts. These prompts help guide how the characters move and interact.

1. Keep It Simple

Prompts should be short and direct. Complex language or multiple actions can confuse the AI model. For example:

“The cat jumps onto the table”

is better than:

“The cat leaps quickly, flips midair, and lands gracefully on the table”

2. Focus on One Action

Each prompt should describe a single movement. If you want multiple actions, break them into separate prompts for different shots.

Good: “The cat looks surprised”

Not recommended: “The cat looks surprised, then chases the fish, then falls down”

3. Use Descriptive Language

Words like “slowly,” “suddenly,” or “excitedly” add useful motion cues. Examples:

“The cat slowly turns its head”

“The cat suddenly jumps back”

4. Match the Tone of the Scene

If the scene is funny, your prompt should reflect that. If it’s dramatic, the prompt should avoid silly language.

Funny: “The cat tiptoes like a cartoon thief”

Serious: “The cat runs through the smoke”

Final Notes

Writing good prompts is like giving stage directions. Clear, concise, and creative prompts make it easier for the AI to generate smooth, entertaining animations.
